Attic Tiles
Attic tiles
Terracotta tiles are traditional Italian building materials that combine structural functionality with great aesthetic appeal. Produced by firing clay, they are characterised by their typical warm colour, which ranges from bright red to pinkish depending on the type of clay used and the firing process.
They are ideally suited to the creation of exposed loft spaces, where they are laid directly onto wooden beams. Thanks to the material’s natural porosity, they offer excellent thermal and hygrometric insulation properties, ensuring perfect breathability of the surfaces and a timeless charm that improves with the passing of the years.
The attic tile is a traditional product, used exclusively for the construction of exposed floors or attics; it is produced by mixing high-quality clays from Impruneta.
It features a sandblasted surface with a mottled colour, reminiscent of the traditional tiles once fired in wood-fired kilns. When laid in a floor, in a truss-or-joist-constructed loft, its aesthetic qualities are brought to the fore.
